About Me
“My art serves as a way to capture a memory - most often from my travels. I paint in oil, often alla prima or plein air, and work only with a pallet knife, a limited set of colors and a small canvas. I like the quickness and the rapid, sure feel of the knife in my hand. I'm trying to capture a quick glimpse - a snapshot in time.”
Jenny Lee is a popular Oklahoma-based artist known for infusing her art with her love of travel. “While traveling, my family and friends are used to me stopping everything while I photograph or sketch a scene for a future painting.” Jenny’s landscapes and street scenes are her most popular, with her exhibition sales often exceeding the number of paintings originally displayed.
In addition to showing in traditional galleries and art shows some of her favorite venues are restaurants. “In a restaurant I can share my work with a broader spectrum of people in a friendly and accessible way.” Her paintings also were used recently on the set of a Disney series produced by Marvel Studios.
A graduate of Oklahoma City University, Jennue continues her creative development by studying under other fine artists. “I love the creative process and the insights you get from collaborating with fellow artists.” Jenny is also a successful graphic designer where her commercial works have received over 50 design awards.
